Rosalia
Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is Rosalia Vila, also known as Rosalia, is a Spanish Flamenco and pop artist from Spain. She has been a part of the fringes of both traditional and popular music from her early teens, she plays in other genres like hip-hop soul, and trap. Pepe Habichuela, a flamenco guitar player that is extremely talented, described her voice as one that is sweet, with a traditional bite. Her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and her follow-up album in 2018. El Mal Querer was a significant commercial and critical success topping the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and ultimately receiving a Grammy. The song La Fama featuring the Weeknd came out in 2021. Motomami came out as her fourth album of full length. It included collaborations on music writing with several artists and producers, including Cory Henry. It was released March 2022 following a performance of the song Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia became the first Spanish solo artist to be a part of Saturday Night Live. Motomami, Rosalia's album that was awarded the three Latin Grammy Awards also made her the first female singer to win an award for Latin Album of the Year win twice.
